To celebrate Black History Month (February) and Women’s History Month (March) Rare Books and Special Collections highlights several 1970s feminist magazines that introduced a wider audience to African American women in sports, politics, and contemporary culture.

This exhibit is curated by Rachel Bohlmann, curator of American history, and Greg Bond, curator of the Joyce Sports Research Collection. This and other exhibits within the Hesburgh Libraries are generously supported by the McBrien Special Collections Endowment.

All exhibits are free and open to the public during business hours.
