Option for the Poor: Engaging the Social Tradition
2019 Catholic Social Tradition Conference
This biennial conference sponsored by the Center for Social Concerns will explore how Catholic social tradition can engage academics and practitioners in the challenges of the most marginalized and vulnerable people in societies today. If the moral test of a society is how it treats vulnerable people, the signs of the times suggest there is significant room for improvement in communities around the world. By assembling experts in Catholic social ethics, the conference seeks to identify social issues with practical responses adequate to address the difficulty of resulting injustices.
