Algorethics denotes the need for a study dedicated to assessing the ethical implications of technologies, particularly AI. Focused on issues of transparency of algorithms and data bias accountability, the goal is to ensure shared scrutiny of the relationships between technology, society, and individuals.

This talk will explore the possibilities and challenges in the ethical governance of AI through algorethics.

About the speaker:

Paolo Benanti is a Third Order Regular Franciscan and works in ethics, bioethics, and the ethics of technologies. Since 2008, he has been a lecturer at the Pontifical Gregorian University and an advisor to Pope Francis on issues of artificial intelligence and technology ethics.
