Film Burned Flaming House

Directed by Elijah Yetter-Bowman
Not Rated, 30 minutes, DCP

This short documentary follows the story of Diane Cotter, the spouse of a firefighter, whose persistence revealed significant exposure to forever chemicals in firefighter gear. Her quest uncovered the missing key to decades of rampant firefighter cancer, the leading cause of death for firefighters.

Her quest also led her to Graham Peaslee, a nuclear physicist and Notre Dame professor, who tested her theory and found shocking results.

There will be a panel discussion with film director Elijah Yetter-Bowman; Graham Peaslee, professor of chemistry and biochemistry; and Rob Bilott, partner Taft Stettinius & Holliseter LLP, following the film.

Sponsored by the College of Science.
