Join the Klau Center for Civil and Human Rights as Easu McCaulley, assistant professor of New Testament, Wheaton College, and author of Reading While Black: African American Biblical Interpretation as an Exercise in Hope, explores the African American biblical experience.

Rev. Esau McCaulley, PhD, is a contributing opinion writer for the New York Times, and host of The Disrupter’s Podcast. His upcoming book looks at the tradition of African American biblical interpretation and its potential for speaking hope to African Americans in the United States.

Building an Anti-Racist Vocabulary is a weekly lecture series presenting preeminent scholars, thought leaders, and public intellectuals to guide our community through topics necessary to a deeper understanding of systemic racism and racial justice.

Lectures are available to the Notre Dame community via Zoom. Registration with a valid nd.edu or alumni.nd.edu is required.
