UPDATE:
Given that the National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for our area this evening from 2 to 9 p.m. EDT with a possible heat index of 102 degrees, the Opening of the Academic Year Mass, scheduled to take place outdoors in Notre Dame Stadium, has been moved to the Basilica of the Sacred Heart. Students, faculty and staff, please join the Notre Dame community in the Basilica at 5:30 p.m. or by viewing the live stream here as we come together to ask for God's blessing on the new academic year.
Those on campus who will be joining virtually are invited to walk to the Basilica to receive the Holy Eucharist on the front steps during the communion portion of the Mass.
