Join us for a discussion in English and Spanish of a new book that addresses this question: Votes, Drugs, and Violence: The Political Logic of Criminal Wars in Mexico (Cambridge University Press, 2020) by Kellogg Faculty Fellow Guillermo Trejo (associate professor of political science and director and principal investigator at the Notre Dame Violence and Transitional Justice Lab [V-TJLab]) and former Kellogg Visiting Fellow Sandra Ley Gutierrez (Department of Political Science, Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas [CIDE]; research affiliate, Kellogg Institute's Notre Dame Violence and Transitional Justice Lab [V-TJLab]).
