5th Annual Crèche Pilgrimage

-

Location: Eck Visitors Center, Notre Dame

Creche 9 600x400

Join the Notre Dame community for a pilgrimage through campus to view nativity sets from throughout Eastern Europe. Begins at Eck Visitors Center and travels to Morris Inn, Coleman-Morse Center, and ends with a blessing and reception at Main Building.

The annual International Crèche Exhibit and Pilgrimage brings together the Notre Dame community to view nativity sets from across the world. The exhibit features crèches on loan from the Marian Library at the University of Dayton. The family-friendly pilgrimage, held in early December, travels across campus to various buildings where the nativity sets are displayed. The pilgrimage includes prayer, Scripture readings and song.

We encourage you to bring the baby Jesus figurine from your home crèche to be blessed at the conclusion of the pilgrimage and also invite children to dress as a figure from the Nativity story: animals, shepherds, angels, magi, the Holy Family, etc.
