Join us for our annual community celebration of the Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) holiday. 

In the ND Center for Arts and Culture view ofrendas built by community members to honor the lives of those who have passed before us, and enjoy performances by Notre Dame student performance groups Coro Primavera and the Mariachi Band. Complimentary, traditional, refreshments of pan de muertos (sweet bread), hot chocolate, and champurrado will be available.

Across the street, in the IUSB Civil Rights Heritage Center, Notre Dame’s Ballet Folklorico Azul y Oro, and the local St. Adalbert’s Dancers will perform, and there will be free children’s activities.

Students at the University of Notre Dame, Saint Mary’s College, or Indiana University South Bend with a current student ID card can receive a free $5 voucher for use that evening at the Rico Suave food truck!

Participation at this evening of music, dance, food, and celebration of community and culture is free. Individuals and families are encouraged to attend and enjoy!

The event is co-sponsored by Notre Dame’s Center for Arts and Culture, Community Relations, Institute for Latino Studies, Kellogg Institute for International Studies, and Snite Museum of Art, along with Indiana University South Bend’s Civil Rights Heritage Center.
