The #MeToo Moment: Its Legal Framework and Political Implications

Join ND Votes for a conversation with Professor Jennifer Mason McAward, associate professor of law and director of the Center for Civil and Human Rights, and Professor Geoff Layman, associate professor of political science and interim director of the Rooney Center for the Study of American Democracy.

Mason McAward will discuss the legal framework of sexual harassment law and the incentives (and disincentives) it creates for employers to address workplace misconduct. Layman will discuss the implications of the #MeToo movement for American politics and the fortunes of the two parties in the upcoming midterm elections.
