With March Madness in full swing, the time is right to watch the most famous basketball tournament film of all time with ties right here in South Bend. Inspired by the 1954 Milan High School team, who played in the all-comers, no-classes Indiana State High School Basketball Tournament, Hoosiers follows coach Norman Dale (Gene Hackman) as he institutes a strict regimen to turn around the struggling Huskers of Hickory High School. Despite pushback from the team and community, Coach Dale's methods are accepted, and the wins keep mounting.
