New in the Browning
Directed by Davis Guggenheim
With Al Gore, Billy West, George H.W. Bush
Rated PG, 96 minutes
Al Gore picked up some of the most golden of laurels available with both an Oscar and a Nobel Peace Prize for his work on this documentary, raising the global awareness of human-caused climate alterations and calling for the need to address them. Now, two decades later, it's worthwhile to go back, study how this film now hits, and answer some intriguing questions: How did An Inconvenient Truth talk about climate change in 2006? How has skepticism shifted since its release? And, overarchingly, what truths about climate change may have changed from 2006?
