Communicating for Influence
Elevate your presence. Strengthen your voice. Inspire action.
At Notre Dame, effective communication is essential to embodying our mission and strengthening our community. Whether you’re leading a project team, presenting to University leadership, or advocating for new ideas, how you communicate can be just as important as what you communicate. Building your ability to influence others is key to advancing both your work and the greater good of Notre Dame.
Join us for an engaging session on Communicating for Influence, where you will:
- Identify your own communication goals and challenges to become more intentional and effective.
- Explore the concept of Executive Presence and learn how to project confidence and credibility.
- Practice strategies for getting your ideas heard, even in competitive or high-stakes settings.
This session will be led by Amanda McKendree, the Arthur F. and Mary J. O’Neil Director of the Fanning Center for Business Communication and Teaching Professor of Management & Organization. She has dedicated her career to empowering students and professionals to find their voice, build confidence, and influence with purpose. Her passion for elevating business communication will leave you motivated to communicate with clarity and lead with impact.
This session is also proudly presented by ND Elevate, a leadership development program at Notre Dame, designed to support aspiring leaders in overcoming common but often daunting workplace challenges.
*The workshop is free and open to the entire campus community, but limited to the first 35 registrants.
