Red Mass

The annual Red Mass for lawyers, judges, law and political science students, and civil government officials is a celebration in which God’s blessing is asked on all those who serve the law. The Most Rev. Kevin C. Rhoades, bishop of the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend, will give the homily at Mass.

After Mass at the Basilica, Stephen Smith of Hillsdale College will present a lecture called “St. Thomas More on ‘Leading Citizenship’: Developing the Leaders Needed in Stormy Times” in Eck Commons at Notre Dame Law School. A buffet reception will start at 6:30 p.m. in the Commons, and the one-hour lecture will start at 7 p.m. The lecture has been approved for 1 hour of CLE credit in Indiana.
