Thanks to the efforts of the Italian Club, Notre Dame has been chosen by the National Italian American Foundation to host a lecture by Professor Amedeo Arena. Professor Arena is a distinguished legal scholar and a renowned professor of European Union law at the University of Naples Federico II. Professor Arena will be embarking on a tour of selected American universities during the week of October 9, 2023, coinciding with Indigenous Peoples Day. Notre Dame will be his inaugural destination, where he will deliver a lecture on the historical significance of the correspondence between Benjamin Franklin and Gaetano Filangieri.
