Shakespeare’s grand work, Romeo & Juliet, is the most famous love story in the English literary tradition. The instantaneous love and overwhelming passions that ultimately lead to violence and death are dualities masterfully set to Prokofiev’s music and interpreted by choreographer Mario Radacovsky. Artistic Director Patricia Barker has transformed Grand Rapids Ballet by attracting world-class dancers, producing creative works in contemporary dance, and drawing national and international acclaim. Enjoy the return of story ballet to the Presenting Series!
