This talk examines patterns of conflict and cooperation among political elites in Western Europe, based on an analysis of interparty interactions in 13 countries between 2001 and 2019. It explores how ideological differences, economic conditions, and political institutions shape the nature of elite interactions and what this means for democratic politics.
