Brain Awareness Fair

-

Location: Howard Park

A Notre Dame volunteer adjusts a Neurodiversity Hub participant's headset during a demonstration. The volunteer and participant stand at a table with informational pamphlets and devices. Other children and adults participate in activities in the background.

The University of Notre Dame’s Neuroscience and Behavior program, in partnership with Self-Healing Communities of Greater Michiana, has an annual Brain Awareness Fair each spring in Michiana to promote STEM disciplines, specifically neuroscience. The inspiration for the Brain Awareness Fair comes from the Dana Foundation, a nonprofit organization that celebrates Brain Awareness Week every spring.
Our team of Brain Ambassadors and NSBH student volunteers hold a FREE event for all-ages Brain Awareness Fair, sharing the importance of brain health and emotional wellbeing. Similar to a pop-up science museum, the fair consists of numerous hands-on activities developed to foster public enthusiasm for the understanding of neuroscience.

We invite everyone who is curious about keeping your brain healthy to come to this FREE event to enjoy:

  • hands-on activities for all ages
  • information you can take home
  • passport books for children — fill it to earn a prize
  • hourly door prizes
  • you can even ask a neuroscientist a question

Join us for an afternoon of FUN at Howard Park, 219 S. St. Louis Blvd., South Bend!
