As part of the McGrath Institute for Church Life's Annunciation Days, Sister Theresa Marie Chau Nguyen, O.P., will present "The Splendor of a Marian Church."
Sr. Theresa serves as associate professor of theology, University of St. Thomas in Houston, and a Dominican Sister of Mary Immaculate Province. Drawing on her research from The Splendor of the Church in Mary (Catholic University of America Press, 2023), Sr. Theresa presents insights into the Marian ecclesiology of Vatican II, demonstrating that Mariology is not a peripheral doctrine from a bygone era but a vital and generative locus for theological reflection.
This presentation invites renewed consideration of the Mariological foundations of ecclesial renewal for the life and mission of the Church today. This lecture, which is part of the McGrath Institute's Annunciation Days, is open to the public.
