At “Life as the Notre Dame Leprechaun,” bestselling children’s author Mike Brown
shares his journey to becoming the first Black student to serve as the Notre Dame Leprechaun. The program, which is free and perfect for the entire family, will take place in conjunction with the exhibit Rockne: Life & Legacy. Reservations are strongly suggested and can be made online at historymuseumSB.org or by calling (574) 235-9664, ext. 6256.

In his presentation, Brown talks about the tryout process for a Notre Dame Leprechaun and his experience in one of the University of Notre Dame’s most iconic roles. He will read from his book, The Leprechaun’s Game Day at Notre Dame, which celebrates the spirit and excitement of a Fighting Irish football Saturday. Copies may be purchased at the museum, and Brown will be available to sign copies after the program. Attendees are invited to tour Rockne: Life & Legacy before and after the program.

Mike Brown is a speaker, author, and founder of Soulstir, a mission-centered publishing company.

The exhibit Rockne: Life & Legacy explores the extraordinary life of Knute Rockne, an icon of college football and the coach who catapulted Notre Dame into the national spotlight. Featuring the most extensive collection of Rockne artifacts ever assembled for public view, Rockne: Life & Legacy tells the comprehensive story of the Notre Dame coach’s life. A fedora belonging to Knute Rockne has recently been added to the artifacts on view in the exhibit.
