Labor Café: "Striketober! What's Happening in the American Workplace?"

-

Location: Geddes Hall, Coffee House

Labor Café is back on First Fridays! Join the Higgins Labor Program for casual conversation on contemporary questions about work, workers, and workplaces. What rights and protections should those who work for others have? What's the proper role for government in the economy? How should we address enduring problems of inequality, poverty, and lack of opportunity? And what does Catholic Social Teaching have to say about these labor questions? Participants choose the concrete topics, all people are welcome, and all opinions are entertained.

Topic: Striketober! What's Happening in the American Workplace?

Facilitators: Aidan Creeron (ECON/HIST '23) and Dan Graff, Director, Higgins Labor Program

Non-required reading to get the conversation started:

All people are welcome. Please note that this Labor Café will have no Zoom component to facilitate better face-to-face interactions.
