The United States and India have an outsized role in curbing the effects of climate change. University campuses in both countries contribute to the global fight against climate change not only through research, but also through sustainability practices on their own campuses. These carbon mitigation efforts not only reduce emissions, but also provide examples for their cities and communities, as well as forming sustainability practices that students take on with them long after they graduate.
Through the discussion, our panelists will share best practices for reducing emissions on campuses by increasing public transportation, utilizing clean energy, and increasing student and faculty awareness on sustainability practices. Our experts will discuss practical steps for colleges to fight climate change.
