The Center for Social Concerns and Higgins Labor Program welcome (virtually) Nancy Gabin, associate professor of history at Purdue University, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of her pioneering Feminism in the Labor Movement, a pivotal book on unions and women first published in 1990. Join Dan Graff, director of the Higgins Labor Program, and Pam Butler, associate director of Gender Studies, as we discuss with Professor Gabin her book’s contributions to the fields of labor, women's, and gender history, as well those fields' evolving, intertwined developments since then. An award-winning teacher, long-time director of undergraduate studies, and engaged scholar in the public sphere, Gabin will also discuss questions of teaching, activism, and labor's future. All are welcome.
