The Kellogg Institute welcomes Paloma Diaz, associate director of programs and faculty liaison, LLILAS Benson Latin American Studies and Collections of the University of Texas at Austin and social media coordinator for the Latin American Studies Association (LASA), the Latin American Research Review (LARR), and Latin American Research Commons (LARC).

Social media is becoming a critical communication tool for scholars, public intellectuals, journalists, politicians, and more. It is a great forum to promote your research to a wide audience and, if used strategically, it can help you expand your academic networks. This talk will discuss not only engagement and influence, but how to use social media to enhance the impact of your research and give you a competitive edge when it comes to identifying the key players in your field of study.

Open to graduate students and faculty.
