Feminist Reading Group

The Ansari Institute is pleased to support the Feminist Theologies in Global Context reading group.
The forum serves as a regular space at Notre Dame to talk about Islamic and Christian theologies in feminist perspectives. All are welcome.

The September 20 gathering is the first for the 2019-20 academic year, and discussion will center around the formation of feminist sensibilities within the context of modern imperialism through an Islamic perspective. Participants will examine Zahra Ali’s Women and Gender in Iraq: Between Nation-Building and Fragmentation (New York, NY: Cambridge University Press, 2018) (Chapter 3). View PDF.
