“Building a Vibrant Workplace Culture in Good Times and Bad” by Tom Mendoza, former president and retired vice chairman at NetApp. 

Tom Mendoza joined NetApp in 1994 and was responsible for sales until becoming president in 2000. In 2009 he became Vice Chairman. In Tom’s 24 years with NetApp he has been instrumental in the development of the company’s corporate culture and its global recognition as one of Forbes’ Great Places to Work.

In September 2000, the University of Notre Dame renamed their business school the Mendoza College of Business, after an endowment from Tom and Kathy Mendoza.

Tom holds a BA from Notre Dame, and is an alumnus of Stanford’s Executive Business Program.

The Dean’s Speaker Series is sponsored by The Eugene Clark Distinguished Lecture Series endowment. The lecture is free and open to all students, the Notre Dame community and the public.
