Mary Meg McCarthy is the executive director of Heartland Alliance’s National Immigration Justice Center, on of the nation’s leading immigrant and human rights advocacy organizations. McCarthy is Notre Dame graduate and has been honored with many awards including MALDEF’s Excellence in Legal Service Award in June 2017.

Her visit is coordinated by Tatiana Botero, associate teaching professor in the Department of Romance Languages, and co-sponsored by the Kellogg Institute for International Studies, the Institute for Latino Studies, First Year Studies, the Office of Student Enrichment, the Morris Inn, and Monterrosa Law Group, LLC. 

Pre-reception from 4:30 to 5 p.m. and her talk starts at 5 p.m.
