Presentation: "Do What You Love — Work and the 5 Love/Appreciation Languages"

-

Location: Duncan Student Center (512) - Center for Career Development

Finding best fit career paths, employers, and occupations can be challenging. Your values, interests, personality and skills all factor into making informed-decisions on what careers to pursue. Even if you secure a best fit opportunity, an employer’s culture and fellow coworkers can play a major role in your day-to-day enjoyment on the job. Feeling appreciated for your contributions, both personally and professionally, is key to being joyfully invested in your work. In this session, participants will learn about the 5 Love Languages (Gary Chapman) and their translation into Appreciation Languages in the workplace (Chapman, Paul White) in order to identify and cultivate meaningful careers with employers and coworkers who uniquely appreciate their contributions.
