Ralph McCloud, director of the Catholic Campaign for Human Development, will offer a lecture entitled “Moving to the Margins: Embracing Encounter as Lifelong Ministry.” Moving to the margins requires leaving our creature comforts. Encountering our brothers and sisters who struggle means hearing with different ears, seeing with different eyes and loving with different hearts. How do we sift past the day to day business, frenzy and seek out those who need our compassion. Participants will be invited to explore ways of practicing our faith in different ways and in different venues and answering the ultimate question: “who is my neighbor?” Sponsored by the Center for Social Concerns.
