Opera ND presents Henry Purcell’s classic “Dido and Aeneas,” with libretto by Nahum Tate, including inserted text from Christopher Marlowe’s “Dido, Queen of Carthage.” Directed by faculty tenor Alek Shrader and conducted by Kevin Vaughn, this production in O’Neill Hall’s most versatile performing space features Notre Dame and community singers with an intimate string quartet serving as orchestra.
