Lecture and Q&A Session (Saturday Scholars): "Total Mobilization — World War II and American Literature"

-

Location: Annenberg Auditorium, Snite Museum of Art (View on map )

You are invited to experience an intimate discussion with Notre Dame’s most engaging faculty speakers on some of the most pressing and fascinating issues of our times. Each lecture and Q&A is presented on a “home game” Saturday.

Presented by Roy Scranton, Assistant Professor, Department of English.

World War II was a time of paradox: victory amidst catastrophe, democracy spread by violence, individualism drafted for propaganda. Looking at poetry and novels helps us see how American culture struggled to make sense of the war.

All lectures are free and open to the public.
