Read/Download is a discussion group that inhabits the perceived boundary between "traditional" reading and computational analysis of culture. Participants will examine topics in humanistic study that have been touched by technology and weigh the implications for art and scholarship. Sessions are anchored by short suggested readings and may include layman-friendly code analysis. All are welcome, and format is flexible: participants interested in doing guest presentations are warmly encouraged to contact Dan Johnson (djohns27@nd.edu) about possibilities. BYO laptop optional.
