Kicking off the week will be a campus-wide MLK Celebration Luncheon and program in the North Dome of the Joyce Center, to which students, faculty and staff are invited. This is a free but ticketed event.
Campus shuttle service will be available before and after the program.
Judge Ann Williams, United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, Notre Dame alumna and trustee will reflect on what it means to Walk the Walk.
Remarks by University President Rev. John I. Jenkins, C.S.C.
Luis Fraga, the Joseph and Elizabeth Robbie Professor of Political Science and the Notre Dame Professor in Transformative Latino Leadership will be the convener.
Members of the Notre Dame community who are not able to attend the campus-wide luncheon are invited, as they were last year, to gather with friends and colleagues for lunch in the dining halls to continue the day's conversations. There is no charge for lunch upon presentation of a Notre Dame ID.
Classes will be canceled from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. to allow students and faculty to participate in these events.
