John J. Kennedy Prize Deadline

Each year, LASP awards the John J. Kennedy Prize for the best senior essay on Latin America. The award is named after a Notre Dame Political Science Department professor who did much to develop Latin American studies on this campus. It carries a monetary value of $300 and recognizes the recipient's high quality work at Notre Dame. To qualify for this competition, papers must be submitted to the director or assistant director of LASP. A faculty committee will review the essays and make the award. Winners will be recognized in the graduation program and during Senior Week ceremonies.

Application Process
Each application should include the following:

- A cover page
- A letter of support from the faculty member who advised your essay (This could be a paragraph or two.)
- A copy of your essay (Font should be 12 point and pages should be double-spaced)
